I was wondering, do you know any games with a quick game over? If so, what does it take to get it done, and how fast do you think it takes to get the job done? Here are some of my nominations

Paper Boy SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis

Paper Boy is a classic game ported from the arcades onto several consoles. You play as a local neighbourhood paper boy through seven levels acting as seven days in a week along one of three areas, Easy Street, Middle Road and Hard Way. It's not as easy as it sounds as it gets trickier as the days go by with more obsticals get in your way and one hit will loose a life for you

- Setting the lives to only one and then crashing into the first obstical can instantly cost you your life. It takes between 1-3 seconds depending on how quickly you move the character

Grand Theft Auto Sony Playstation 1

This game began the whole crime genre and the beginning of a legacy. Controlling a street thug who makes his way to the big time by doing jobs for various bosses. Steal cars and shoot your way into the big time or get busted by gangs or the fuzz

- The popular code for all the weapons, armour and health are either 'Bstard' or 'Theshit' when you choose your character's name. Once selected, if you hurry and select your rocket launcher and fire a couple of times near your vehicle or a wall, then you can die instantly! It takes between 1 - 3 seconds depending on how quickly you fire

Tomb Raider, Angel of Darkness Sony Playstation 2

This was one of the most anticipated games for the PS2 when it was announced, but instead it was met with being a huge dissapointment. Ugly graphics, terrible voice acting, poor level design, sluggish controls and an RPG type element which just doesn't work right, all added to the game's downfall

- When you begin the game, you can quickly climb some railings to try and jump over. If you miss, you instantly break your legs and die. It takes between 5 - 15 seconds if you are quick enough to get to the platform nessessary

Tomb raider Legends Sony Playstation 2

After the dissapointment that was Angel of Darkness, Legends managed to rebuild Lara's legacy with this amazing adventure game. The plot reveals some of Lara's past and how she began her quest to find out what happened to her mother and how she would learn the truth from someone she once thought was her friend

- When you start the game, you start on the first level right next to a cliff side. If you make Lara turn around and quickly jump off, she will fall to her death. It takes between 1 - 3 seconds depending on how quick you are to respond

Indiana Jones, the Emperor's tomb Microsoft Xbox

A truely amazing game which proves that licenced games can work when made properly. Controlling Indy, you make your way around some brilliantly designed levels to try and unearth the secret of the first emperor of China's hidden power 'The Heart of the Dragon'

- Like Legend, you begin the game on the edge of a cliff, and if you instantly turn Indy around to run off, you will fall to your death. It takes between 1- 3 second depending on how low to the ground you make Indy fall
